54:1 Roni akarah lo yaladah pitzchi rinah vetzahali lo-chalah ki-rabim benei-shomemah mibenei ve'ulah amar HASHEM.
Sing out, O barren one who has not given birth; break into glad song and be jubilant, you who have not been in birth travail. For the children of the desolate [Yerushalayim] will outnumber the children of the inhabited one, said HASHEM.
2 Harchivi mekom aholech viri'ot mishkenotaich yatu al-tachsochi ha'arichi meitaraich vitedotaich chazeki.
Broaden the place of your tent and let the children of your dwellings stretch out, stint not; lengthen your cords and strengthen your pegs.
3 Ki-yamin usmol tifrotzi vezar'ech goyim yirash ve'arim neshamot yoshivu.
For you will burst out to the right and to the left; your offspring will inherit nations, and they will settle desolate cities.
4 Al-tir'i ki-lo tevoshi ve'al-tikalmi ki lo tachpiri ki voshet alumaich tishkachi vecherpat almenutaich lo tizkeri-od.
Fear not, for you will not be shamed; do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced; for you will forget the shame of your youth and you will no longer recall the disgrace of your widowhood.
5 Ki vo'alaich osaich HASHEM Tzeva'ot shemo vego'alech Kedosh Yisrael Elokei chol-ha'aretz yikare.
For your Master is your Maker, HASHEM, Master of Legions, is His Name; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Yisrael; G-d of all the world will He be called.
6 Ki-che'ishah azuvah va'atzuvat ruach kera'ach HASHEM ve'eshet ne'urim ki tima'es amar Elokaich.
For like a wife who has been forsaken and melancholy has HASHEM called you, and like a wife of one's youth who had become despised, said your G-d.
7 Berega katon azavtich uverachamim gedolim akabetzech.
For but a brief moment have I forsaken you, and with abundant mercy will I gather you in.
8 Beshetzef ketzef histarti fanay rega mimech uvechesed olam richamtich amar go'alech HASHEM.
With a slight wrath have I concealed My countenance from you for a moment, but with eternal kindness shall I show you mercy, says your Redeemer, HASHEM.
9 Ki-mei Noach zot li asher nishbati me'avor mei-Noach od al-ha'aretz ken nishbati miktzof alaich umige'or-bach.
For [like] the waters of Noach this shall be to Me: Just as I swore that the waters of Noach would never again pass over the earth, so have I sworn not to be wrathful with you nor to rebuke you.
10 Ki heharim yamushu vehageva'ot temuteinah vechasdi me'itech lo-yamush uvrit shlomi lo tamut amar merachamech HASHEM.
For the mountains may be moved and the hills may falter, but My kindness shall not be removed from you and My covenant of peace shall not falter, said the One Who shows you mercy, HASHEM.
11 Anyah so'arah lo nuchamah hineh anochi marbitz bapuch avanaich visadetich basapirim.
O afflicted, storm-tossed one, who has not been consoled: Behold, I will sat down gems as your [flooring] stones and lay your foundation with sapphires.
12 Vesamti kadchod shimshotaich ushe'araich le'avnei ekdach vechol-gevulech le'avnei chefetz.
I will set your window [frames] with ruby and [make] your gates of carbuncle stones, and your entire boundary of precious stones.
13 Vechol-banaich limudei HASHEM verav shelom banaich.
All your children will be students of HASHEM, and your children's peace will be abundant.
14 Bitzdakah tikonani rachaki me'oshek ki-lo tira'i umimchitah ki lo-tikrav elaich.
Establish yourself through righteousness, distance yourself from oppression, for you need not fear it, and from devastation, for it will not come near you.
15 Hen gor yagur efes me'oti mi-gar itach alaich yipol.
Behold, they may indeed gather together, but it is without My consent. Whoever will gather against you will fall because of you.
16 Hineh anochi barati charash nofe'ach be'esh pecham umotzi cheli lema'asehu ve'anochi barati mashchit lechabel.
Behold, I created the smith, who fans his charcoal flame and withdraws a tool for his labor, but I have [also] created the destroyer to demolish.
17 Kol-keli yutzar alaich lo yitzlach vechol-lashon takum-itach lamishpat tarshi'i zot nachalat avdei HASHEM vetzidkatam me'iti ne'um-HASHEM.
Any weapon sharpened against you will not succeed, and any tongue that will rise against you in judgment, you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of HASHEM, and their righteousness from Me - the word of HASHEM.
55:1 Hoy kol-tzame lechu lamayim va'asher eyn-lo kasef lechu shiveru ve'echolu ulechu shiveru belo-chesef uvelo mechir yayin vechalav.
Ho, everyone who is thirsty, go to the water, even one with no money, go, buy and eat; go and buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 Lamah tishkelu-chesef belo-lechem vigi'achem belo lesove'ah shime'u shamoa elai ve'ichlu-tov vetit'anag badeshen nafshechem.
Why do you weigh out money without getting bread and [exert] your efforts for that which does not satisfy? Listen well to Me and you will eat well, and your soul will delight in rich food
3 Hatu oznechem ulechu elai shime'u utechi nafshechem ve'echretah lachem berit olam chasdei David hane'emanim.
Incline your ear and come to Me; listen, and your soul will be rejuvenated; I will make an eternal covenant with you, the enduring kindnesses [promised to] David.
4 Hen ed le'umim netativ nagid umetzaveh le'umim.
Behold, I have appointed him as a witness over the regimes, a prince and a commander to the regimes.
5 Hen goy lo-teda tikra vegoy lo-yeda'ucha eleicha yarutzu lema'an HASHEM Elokeicha velikedosh Yisrael ki fe'arach.
Behold, you will summon a nation you had not known, and a nation that had not known you will run to you, for the sake of HASHEM, your G-d, for the Holy One of Yisrael, Who has glorified you.
