Bereishit Chapter 6

Vayehi ki-hechel ha'adam larov al-penei ha'adamah uvanot yuledu lahem.

1. Now this happened when man began to increase on the face of the earth: Daughters were born to them.

2. The sons of the leaders saw that the daughters of man were good, and they took for themselves wives from whomever they chose.

Vayomer HASHEM lo-yadon ruchi va'adam le'olam beshagam hu vasar vehayu yamav me'ah ve'esrim shanah.

3. HASHEM said, "My spirit shall not arbitrate in man forever, since he is but flesh, and his days shall be 120 years.".

Hanefilim hayu va'aretz bayamim hahem vegam acharei-chen asher yavo'u benei ha'Elokim el-benot ha'adam veyaledu lahem hemah hagiborim asher me'olam anshei hashem.

4. The titans were in the earth in those days, and also later, since the sons of the leaders came to the daughters of man, and they fathered them. These were the mightiest ones who ever were, men of name.

Vayar HASHEM ki rabah ra'at ha'adam ba'aretz vechol-yetzer machshevot libo rak ra kol-hayom.

5. HASHEM saw that man's wickedness in the earth had increased, and that every urge of his heart's thought was only evil, all day long.

6. Hashem regretted that He had made man in the earth, and there was anguish in His heart.

Vayomer HASHEM emecheh et ha'adam asher-barati me'al penei ha'adamah me'adam ad-behemah ad-remes ve'ad-of hashamayim ki nichamti ki asitim.

7. HASHEM said, "I will obliterate humanity which I have created from upon the face of the earth - man as well as beasts, creeping things, and birds of the heavens. I regret that I have created them."

8. But Noach found favor in HASHEM's eyes.

11. The earth was corrupt before G-d, and the land was filled with crime.

Vayar Elokim et-ha'aretz vehineh nishchatah ki-hishchit kol-basar et-darko al-ha'aretz.
